Target Underground was created in 2023 with a simple goal: do Horizontal Directional Drilling the right way, every time. After years of watching projects suffer from shortcuts, inconsistent crews, and reactive equipment care, the idea was clear. There was room for a contractor who focused on precision, preparation, and accountability from day one.

Target Underground is led by founder Bill Lawrence, who brings more than 32 years of hands-on drilling experience to every project. Bill has spent his career in the field: understanding what works, what fails, and what it takes to deliver reliable HDD results in real-world conditions. That experience drives Target’s standards today.
